H A P P Y M A Y D A Y E V E R Y O N E !!
Here is a May Day Bouquet for you in one of my favorite tea pots.
I woke up early this morning full of ambition hoping to start the day
getting lots done. The streets and sidewalks are wet with rain and I can see
the faint glow of the sun shinning and reflecting off the rain.
Looks like it will be a sunny warm May Day!!!!
Here is a sweet May Day surprise to give:
When my children were in grade school, they would make sweet paper cones, fill them with more handmade paper flowers,
and excitedly run home from school with them, I would here the front door bell ring, go to the door and no one would be there,
However I would see this sweet little May Basket hanging on the door knob!!!!!!
And when I look around here would be the little person hiding with a sheepish grin on their face!
Last year I made these paper cornucopias for my May Day Baskets,
Just cut out a square of mid to heavy weight paper, (I used some left over wallpaper),
Roll from one corner to the next, it does not have to be perfect, just so you get the cone effect,
staple together, punch holes on each side, slip a string or ribbon through the top and fill with flowers.
I put some plant rootings in mine, I took a plastic bag, put a piece of wet paper towel around the roots,
then twist the bag around the plant, secure tightly with ribbon or a twisty tie that the bags come with in the box.
Do the same with a bouquet of flowers,
Hang on a friends front door, ring the bell and run away!!!
A fun way to cheer up a friend or neighbor,
Have a great week, hope this helps you to get off to a good start!
